Materials Needed
| Each group will need: |

Corn Earworm eggs/larvae*

plastic cups with lids*

1 paintbrush

1 dissecting microscope or hand lens

1 thermometer

worksheets

1 fine tip permanent marker
- 1 flashlight

- 1 to 2 large jars (2-liter soda bottles work well)
- tweezers (soft)
- dentist wicks (cotton)
- moth diet (mix one part sugar
to nine parts of distilled water)
- paper towels
- rubber bands
- 4 masks
- graph paper

Other useful materials if available:
- camera for documenting steps, differences in specimens, or any
special occurrences in the process
- black light to view the ultraviolet colors that the flowers use
to attract and guide the moths, and to view the variance in
pigmentation in the eyes
