After lunch, we "kick-sampled" the stream at Research Park and found all kinds of marine organisms.  The interesting thing was that we hadn't noticed all these critters the first time we went to the park to pick up samples for our aquariums.  Greg Rodgers from the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC) instructed us on marine life and the Texas Watch program.  It was also a good time to cool off a little in the Texas heat.

Upon returning, we conducted some chemistry experiments by SEPUP which not only helped us and will help the students understand the concept of parts per million better, but also was a good way to teach fractions.
