Who says one cannot have fun while you work.  We caravaned down to the Brazos River and dug for fossils on the banks.  We did not find any remains of raptors, but mollusks, coral, and worm tubes were plentiful.
We were able to get in the water at the Little Brazos, (some of us more wet than others), and seine for marine organisms.  The mayflies and dragonflies were spectacular.
